Dr. Karen Corcoran is the Founder and Creator of Infinite Health & Wellness Center. Dr. Karen is a Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine, holds a Post Doctorate Diplomate in Nutrition, and is a specialist in Functional Medicine. Previously, as a Registered Nurse, she specialized with emergency room, adult and pediatric intensive care. Her experience compelled her to create a center that incorporates medical knowledge with the compassion and caring necessary for total balance of mind, body and soul. With close to 30 years of health care experience, Dr. Karen brings extensive knowledge and dedication to her client's total health.

Laura Souto Laramee turned her struggle with addiction as a young adult into a positive quest to mentor and inform today's youth and others about overcoming addiction. The author of A-Z Solutions for Recovery: Suggestions for People Struggling with Addiction will present her book, struggles and triumphs. Laura is a Miami native residing in Broward County with her husband and three children. She studied at Florida Atlantic University. She hopes to expand her presentations with area students about addiction, which impacts most families regardless of socioeconomic status.

James Lopresti, PhD, LMHC, is Director of Clinical Education at SunServe, South Florida's Gay and Lesbian Social service agency which is the home of the Noble McArtor Senior Center. He previously served as the Director of Mental Health and Addiction Treatment Services in Washington, DC, one of the nation's largest AIDS services organizations. Dr. Lopresti has been a clinical studies faculty member in various graduate progams in New York, Chicago, Boston, Washington and Miami and is frequently called upon to do seminars on culturally competent services for the Gay, Lesbian, Bi and Transgender Community.

Diane Lade, Aging issues specialist, consumer writer, Sun Sentinel

Diane LadeAbout Diane:
Diane Lade is the aging issues specialist and a consumer writer for the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, based in Fort Lauderdale. She has written about aging for the paper since 1985, although she did take a six-year break to serve as an assistant city editor.

She was an original member of the newspaper's Help Team, started in 2005, which focused on "news you can use" consumer-oriented features and breaking news articles. As a consumer writer, she covered the national pet food and toy recalls, auto fraud, pool safety issues and various scams.

She returned to primarily covering aging in 2012. She is part of the Lifestyle/Features Department, although her work runs in all sections of the Sun Sentinel. Topic areas include (but are not limited to): social trends among midlife and older adults, senior housing in the community and in care facilities, Alzheimer's disease and other medical isssues, and policies impacting baby boomers and elders.

Diane also was the founder of Sit, Stay, Speak!, the Sun-Sentinel's first pet blog, which now is in hiatus. She still enjoys writing and Tweeting about companion animals.

A graduate of the University of Missouri, Diane holds degrees in reporting/editing and photojournalism. She was twice nominated for a Pulitzer Prize; once for a 1997 series on life inside a retirement community, and as part of a 2001 team that looked at the relationship between nursing home care quality and lawsuits. She also has been a runner-up in 1998 and 2000 in the American Society on Aging's national media awards.

About Howard:

Howard FormanClerk of the Courts Howard Forman, elected to the Clerk's office in November, 2000, was born in Pittsburgh, PA in 1946 and moved to Florida in 1955. He attended the University of Miami and the New York Institute of Finance.

Prior to being elected Clerk, Forman served on the Hallandale Beach City Commission, the Broward County Commission and in the State Senate. He has repeatedly earned leadership positions while in office, including being named Chair of the County Commission, elected Chair of the Broward Legislative Delegation, and appointed Chair of the Senate Transportation Committee (1990-1992), Senate Health Care Committee (1993-1994), Joint Legislative Auditing Committee (1993-1994) and Joint Everglades Oversight Committee (1996-1997 and 1998-1999).

Forman's work on behalf of the people of Florida has been honored by numerous organizations, including Broward County Democratic Executive Committee, Broward County AFL-CIO, Broward County Sierra Club, Early Childhood Development Association, Autism Society of America, Florida Consumer Action Network, American Lung Association and numerous others.

Forman has two children, two step-children and four grandchildren.

Sherrif Al Lamberti

Sheriff Lamberti Sheriff Al Lamberti is a 34-year veteran of the Broward Sheriff's Office.

He began his career in the Department of Detention.  After transferring to road patrol, Sheriff Lamberti worked his way through the ranks, eventually serving as a captain in the Organized Crime Division.  He then assumed his position as District Chief in Deerfield Beach in January 1990.

After his promotion to Major, Sheriff Lamberti served as Interim Police Chief for the City of Hollywood and North Lauderdale.  Soon after, he served as Director of the Training and Organizational Development Division where he oversaw the Center for Advanced Criminal Justice Studies Executive Leadership Program, as well as all day-to-day training functions.

When Sheriff Lamberti returned to the Department of Law Enforcement, he assumed command of the South Patrol Region, which included Port Everglades and Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport, post September 11th.

A graduate 167th Session of the of the F.B.I. National Academy, Sheriff Lamberti served as President of the Florida Chapter of the F.B.I National Academy Associates in 2004. He served as President of the Broward Sheriff's FOP Lodge #32 from 1984 - 1985. Additionally, he was the Chairman of the Regional Coordinating Team of the Florida Violent Crime and Drug Control Council for the Southeast Region from 1999 to 2007. In early 2009, Sheriff Lamberti was named chairman of the Region 7 Gang Reduction Task Force by the Florida Attorney General.  Also in 2009, he was elected to the Board of Directors of the National Sheriffs' Association.  In 2012, Sheriff Lamberti was elected to serve as the Vice President of the Major County Sheriffs' Association.

In September 2007, Sheriff Lamberti was appointed Broward Sheriff by Florida Governor Charlie Crist.  In November 2008, he was elected by the citizens of Broward County to serve as sheriff for an additional four years.

Sheriff Lamberti holds an Associate in Science Degree in Law Enforcement from Palm Beach Community College and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from Florida Atlantic University. 

He resides in Margate with wife, Holly, and their son Nicholas and has two step-children, Jaime and David.

Getzov worked as an attorney in the music and entertainment business, first as Vice President of Business Affairs at Atlantic/Select Records and then as a solo practitioner, counseling artists in the music, theater, literary, television and motion-picture industries. He also served as personal manager for several well-known entertainers, including The Jerky Boys, who, under his guidance, achieved international success in music and in comedy, selling millions of albums and videos, as well as starring in their own major motion picture. The Jerky Boys were twice nominated for Grammy Awards as Best Spoken Word recording artists. Getzov's articles have appeared in the New York Daily News, Newsday, The Dallas Morning News, The Kansas City Star and amNew York, and he has been a guest on radio in the communities he has visited throughout the country.
