Decorated Sergeant Major, Thomas Thompson, is a 24-year Army veteran, who has a Master’s in Rehabilitation Counseling.  In his role as the Manager of Veteran Services at South Florida Institute on Aging (SoFIA), he has continued his work in the private sector with Veterans to assist with their transition from defending our country, to re-entering the private sector, which includes connections with various supplements to restore and created their health, careers and return to home.

Thomas has committed his life to serving others. Thompson grew up and attended high school outside Buffalo N.Y, He attended Gannon University earning a degree in Criminal Justice. Upon graduation, Mr. Thompson enlisted in the United States Army as an Intelligence Ground Surveillance Specialist where he spent 24 years, and, ascended to the rank of Sergeant Major. Sgt. Maj. Thompson was deployed to Iraq serving three combat tours. He was awarded a Bronze Star for heroism in combat; he engaged in a Peacekeeping tour in Kosovo; served two tours in South Korea; and served a tour in both Panama; and Europe. Prior to retiring from the Army in 2010, he obtained his Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Thomas University in Georgia.
