Healing Through Art
presented by Natasha Nesic, MA, LMHC, ATR

Art therapy is a way to visually communicate thoughts and feelings that are challenging to put into words; it is a powerful tool in communication. Creative and expressive therapies can be integrated into psychotherapy and counseling not only because they activate the potential for nonverbal language but also because of the inherent ability to support people of diverse age groups to explore emotions and beliefs, reduce stress, resolve problems and conflicts, and enhance their sense of well-being.

Natasha Nesic received a dual Master's in Mental Health Counseling and Art Therapy at Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts and is currently pursuing a PhD in Applied Clinical Psychophysiology at the College of Integrative Medicine and Health Sciences at Saybrook University.  Natasha’s practice integrates cognitive-behavioral approaches with art therapy, neuroscienceand mindfulness. Treatment plans are tailored to meet the client's individual needs.

Working with children, adolescents, and adults, Ms Nesic treats those who struggle with trauma, anxiety, depression, autistic spectrum disorders, bipolar disorder, attention deficit disorder & attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, substance abuse, eating disorders, neuro-cognitive disorders, schizophrenia and personality disorders, also addressing stress reduction in clients struggling with any type of chronic condition.

Framed by a multicultural perspective, Natasha educates, inspires wellness, and promotes healing while reducing the stigma associated with mental health issues.
